Observatory of R+D+i, technology and entrepreneurship in the Valencia region of Fundación LAB Mediterráneo
If we are to move towards an unlimited society, we first need to know our starting point.
This observatory allows monitoring of the Valencia region over time and in comparison with other autonomous communities. It is a tool for designing public and private actions that influence the shift towards a production model based on knowledge and technology.

The number of R & D staff has grown exponentially in the Community, from 13,600 full-time
in 2002 to the
Almost 18% of Valencian companies are involved in innovative activities, a higher percentage
to the national average.
The 37.5% of adult Valencians report having advanced digital skills.
Compared with other regions, the level of entrepreneurship in the Valencian population is high both at present (el 8% of Valencians are involved in the creation and development of a business project) and in the future (el 14% show a willingness to start up new businesses in the
next three years).
