Antón Costas

Industrial engineer and economist. A native of Parroquia de Matamá (Vigo), he is Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Barcelona and chairs the Círculo de Economía Foundation, having served as President of the Círculo de Economía (2013-2017) and Vice-Rector of the Menéndez Pelayo International University with Ernest Lluch. He is a member of the boards of directors of Bodegas Terras Gauda S.A.; Laboratorios Reig-Jofre S.A., Banco Mediolanum S.A, and Barnaclinic+, as well as belonging to advisory boards of other companies and entities and having been part of different expert commissions to advise governments and Parliaments on public policy issues.

Fundación Círculo de Economía and Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Barcelona, has shared with us his thoughts on artificial intelligence. In this interesting interview, he tells us about the role of new technologies in improving people’s lives and gives us his views on the initiatives that can be implemented by companies and society to promote entrepreneurship and the use of AI.
