Ignacio Goirigolzarri

President of CaixaBank, vice president of CECA, president of Deusto Business School and president of the Advisory Council of the Franklin Institute.

He joined the Bank of Bilbao in 1977 in the Area of Strategic Planning. In 1992 he was appointed Director General of the BBV and, in 1994, he joined its Management Committee. In April 2001, he was appointed General Manager of the BBVA Group and, in December of the same year, CEO of the Group, a position he held until October 2009. From May 2012 to March 2021 he was president of Bankia and BFA and, from March 2021, president of CaixaBank.
